  Buying and selling houses is supposed to be one of the three most stressful events in life, so add in the fact that I lived 400 miles away and was managing the whole scenario on my own, my recent move could have been the ultimate in difficult experiences........ none of my friends thought it was possible!

But when I agreed with Simon Wild to purchase a new house off plan, I found myself spared many of the stresses associated with house purchase......from weekly photos of progress to making decisions on partitions, the location of electric points to the type of doors and window frames, I was helped and guided via email and phone, received plans in the post to mark up and generally felt supported through the whole experience..... Even in the final months when I had sold my own property earlier than expected and my new house wasn't ready, Simon and Lesley helped me find temporary accommodation. Nothing was too much trouble. And those little niggles after occupation - no problem, not many, and most noted well before I noticed them! I couldn't have found a builder/developer more helpful, more understanding or more concerned that as a client, everything was right for me!

  Living a considerable distance away therefore relying heavily on the internet for our property searching, we came across S & L Wild Ltd whilst searching for "New Build in the Scottish Borders". First impressions definitely count and Simon and Lesley's passion for their product was immediately evident. Suffice to say that it wasn't long before we arranged to travel to the Borders to satisfy ourselves whether this was indeed the Firm who we would entrust to build our dream home. We were impressed by the warm welcome Simon and Lesley extended to us, and greatly appreciated them taking us for a tour around the Eastern Borders to look at a good selection of suitable plots of land. It was also most helpful that we were afforded the opportunity of seeing inside a couple of their earlier builds to determine the quality of finish which their website accurately indicates. Our specific requirements were addressed with ease, a deal was struck and communication thereafter was simplified immensely by regular emails keeping us up to date with progress.

Our new home is exactly the property we wanted and thought it would be and we are very happy with our purchase. The house layout is excellent and it has been easy to find and install furniture that co-ordinates well. It has been a pleasure to deal with you, and to have your contractors working here to do the additional work we requested - they are unfailingly polite and competent. We undoubtedly made the right decision and wish you much success for the future.

  Some time ago we were looking to relocate to the Scottish Borders when we were fortunate to be able to look over an S & L Wild Show House. We were extremely impressed by the design, with the plot location, standard of work and high quality fittings. We decided that we would like S & L Wild to build for us, and over the next few months Lesley arranged for us to see various potential building sites. We were extremely impressed with her thoroughness, expertise and friendliness and she insisted on taking us personally to the sites, having looked into all potential build options beforehand. We were also invited to view their present building projects, in which we were again able to note their forward planning and extremely high standards.
 
In the end, sadly, partly due to the economic climate and other personal difficulties, we had to abandon the idea of having an S & L Wild designed house at this time.
 
Simon and Lesley are unique and they would definitely be our first choice for a new build/house purchase. Their designs, whilst being fully sympathetic to the Borders, are exciting and innovative and it goes without saying that we highly recommend S & L Wild to anyone who desires a new home in the Borders.
